Interview with Issac Hightower, an Army Air Forces veteran (5th Army Air Force), concerning his childhood in Fort Worth; education in Fort Worth schools and at Texas Christian University; decision to enroll in Army Air Forces; training at bases in San Antonio, Greenville, and Waco, Tex.; assignment to a B-26 unit and later to a B-17 unit; service at bases in Italy and England; Twenty-nine combat missions in skies over Germany and Central Europe; readjustment to life in the U.S. Appendix consists of photocopies of newspaper clippings, photographs, a telegram, and details of a rescue of fellow airmen from a burning plane (fifteen leaves).

The Army Air Forces War Adjustment Course was established in 1944 at several locations in the U.S., one of which was Harvard Business School.
